Since the 1960s, Renzo and Maria Pia ran this place as a bar, a small hotel, and a point of reference for the village. What started as a simple bottega grew over time into something people returned to.
Dagli anni '60, Renzo e Maria Pia hanno gestito questo posto come un bar, un piccolo albergo e un punto di riferimento per il borgo.
Today, that same connection continues here: a place kept alive through the encounter between the Thottrups and the families who came before, whose legacy lives on in every coffee and plate of homemade pasta.

ROOTED IN THE VILLAGE
In a part of Tuscany where villages slowly emptied, people found work close to home. Skills that might have disappeared were kept in use.
A LEGACY CARRIED FORWARD
Many recipes come from Maria Pia, and from local mamme and nonne — passed down and still prepared as they have been for generations.
